No Man's Land

We are in No Man's Land of 2016. With less than 48 hours to go, people have made up their minds about what kind of year it has been. Radio stations are playing recaps; tv shows are airing reruns. We're all anxiously awaiting to hear how Toby from "This Is Us" is doing. (Love that guy!) We're moving forward, though we've put a lot on pause.

I'm enjoying this period. My husband had been mega busy with work and is finally on a much needed break. We've been able to have fun together as a family. In our downtime the other day, our toddler serenaded us with his version of Happy Birthday on his new guitar. It goes, "Happy yo-yo you you." It's my new favorite song...!!

This feels like the calm between the storms. We know what 2016 brought - for the most part. As for 2017? I've sensed a lot of cautious optimism and hope, even more so than other new years.

I feel mostly bright-eyed about the coming calendar year. My two main non-family goals are to grow my business and to shrink my belly. I've been able to lose weight before, so I just need to put in the work again. And I'm determined to build Take Care Package.

For those of you who are looking to be healthier in the new year, like me, Take Care Package has a new set - Team Fruit & Veggie. It's designed to help you and a friend with similar aims to achieve your collective goals. We're doing a giveaway of one of these sets through our Facebook page, which ends this New Years Eve at 7 PM ET. No personal information is required to enter...check it out!

What are your goals for 2017? How do you plan to make it a reality?
