Spring is in the air! At least it is here in New Jersey. The weather has been warming up, with rain pouring down about every other day, lowering the temperatures. Then rinse & repeat.
I feel like that is how this month has been so far for me personally, too. There have been a lot of moments where I feel like I'm getting warmer, where things seem to be moving in the direction I want them to go. Then something happens and I find myself taking a step back, breathing and actively keeping on reaching for the warmth.
For instance, I knew that one side benefit of my son going to school was that I would have more free time on my hands to get some work done. While I have been progressing through some things I've only dreamed of doing for awhile now, I don't quite have as much time as I thought I might. I find that properly packing (and unpacking) his lunchbox is an extra chunk of time...partly because I leave him a note with a picture. What can I say, I can't resist!
Our son is turning two this month. This will be his first birthday where he knows that we're having cake in his honor. Which means that I'm putting pressure on myself to make the celebration epic. With him going to school, I also need to figure out what treats he can share with the class that won't make another kid have an allergic reaction or feel left out. Big learning curve here!!
And then there are taxes. Is there ever a great time to get your paperwork ready for tax filing? In our house, we like to live dangerously & get as close to the wire as possible. I think we have the information, it's just a matter of pulling it together, which is exciting to exactly zero people in my family. It feels so close to being done, and yet feels so far...
Although I'm going through some ups and downs, I have one purely positive bit of news just for you: we're doing another giveaway on Facebook later today! You'll have an opportunity to win one of either our new Snacks x 2 gift sets or our even newer Ready, Set, Grow packages. They're great to send to a friend or to enjoy yourself. Go on, you deserve it.
